Hi there, my name is Maria, I am Slovak but have lived in England for over a decade, during my life there I married my husband Mike. In 2009 we moved to our new home here in Slovakia.
I thoroughly enjoy my life here, I am just about living a dream.
We have a reasonable amount of land around our chalet which consists of a perennial and vegetable garden that I enjoy looking after. With the ever changing seasons there is always something to alter and improve. We have chickens, sheep and bees. Roxy, our Border Collie who came here from England is sadly no longer with us, we now we have a Border Collie Spaniel cross called Meddy and we also have two cats.
The bees have proved to be a bit more of a challenge for me. I wanted to write about it in a blog as I have read and still read many beekeeper blogs, there is just so much to learn out there so I just hope that I might provide something helpful to someone one day. the same as it works for me.
