27th of April till today, 18th of May we had the scaffolding round three sides of our house, we have been sanding the wood, cleaning up, and painting it. We gave it 3 coats of paint, wood treatment, except for the Gable ends and the Bathroom which received 4 coats, actually the East and South side of the house received an extra coat, as they really get the worst of the weather. The guttering received a lick of paint as did the windowsills.
Today the three musketeers came and took the scaffolding down, I might add with our help we managed to do it in 3 hours, absolutely amazing, Took 1 1/2 days to put it up and 3 hours to take it off. Wicked.
The house looks absolutely astonishingly good. Mike will put some pictures on his blog, he has been taking pictures throughout the process.
We have just about sorted out the patio with all our potted plants and pergola, etc, it was lovely to have the area nice and cozy again. I need to dig over the garden it got a little bit smashed but all in all it is pretty good. Makes us appreciate all the little things about this lovely house all over again, having had the scaffolding here. Job well done.
