Our new sheep pen has had the two ewes in now for about a week. We have sorted out an enclosure outside for them to graze, the little grass there is, when it is nice and dry, or just dry. They seem ok, I have not sheared them yet, that is to come. Can’t make my mind up whether to crutch shear them, ie you shear the back of the sheep plus the tummy so you clear the teats and back end, or whether to shear the whole sheep. Really does depend how it goes.
I think I have sorted out some bees for 2015, Getting excited already. I have missed not having bees!!
Weather has been playing games with us, started of really cold, snow tumbling down and the last few days we have had + temperatures during the day and – during the night, they are forecasting cooler weather towards end of week/beginning of next one. We shall see.
