Had a very fresh start to the morning, woke up and it was 5 degrees, very cold wind blew for most of the day the bees took their time getting out and about. The current situations is Hive A has 3 boxes, last box has 6frames with stores. Hive B,C have 2 boxes, the second box consisting of about 6-7 frames of stores. I have treated hive B,C with HiveClean counted the varroa mites and decided to treat again next year in spring. I am still considering taking 1 or 2 frames from hive A for me, but as the weather has cooled down I have decided to leave it for a bit, some beekeepers are very strict as to when to extract and when to feed, others are a bit more relaxed, I am leaving it for a bit as I believe that Autumn will still give them a chance to pick some more plus give me a chance to do what I have to do before the end of the year. Will keep you posted.
Autumn is here,
