23d of April I decided to do a full inspection of the beehive, weather good, warm about 17degrees, little wind. The main objective was to find the Queen, check stores, Queen cells, Drones, larvae.
I managed to achieve all of the above. Yes I have finally seen the Queen. She was in the super, which was actually full of eggs, I found her on the 5 frame. The brood box had larvae, 5,6,7 days old and some cupped, some drones cells on the edge plus some stores. I did not see any eggs which was a bit worring at first. After checking the brood box I put the super on top and started checking which is when I noticed the eggs in the cells. So that was the answer without seeing the Queen I knew I had her and than there she was. I realized what everybody goes on about how easy she is to recognize. Such distinctive features. I am so happy to have finally seen her.
No Queen cells present at this time.
